What You'll Study in the Early Childhood/Childhood Education Biology Concentration

Your concentration courses will expand your knowledge of biology and through your education coursework, you'll build a foundation in principles and best practices of early childhood and childhood education.

Our program is jointly registered with SUNY New Paltz, making it smoother than ever to transition from DCC to a bachelor's program and, finally, to full teaching certification in New York State.

BIO 105: General Biology 1
A study of basic biological concepts, including the nature of science, matter, the cell, characteristics of living matter, a brief survey of the living world, and ecology.

EED 103: Early Childhood/Childhood Observation
