What You'll Study as an Early Childhood/Childhood Education Student

At DCC, you'll learn to observe children’s development, design appropriate learning experiences, plan for diversity, and develop professional behaviors. Your chosen concentration in English/history, Spanish, biology or mathematics education will determine your coursework.

Our program is jointly registered with SUNY New Paltz, giving you a direct path from your associate to a bachelor's and, finally, to full New York State teaching certification. Your exciting new career as an educator all starts here.
