Prepare for what’s next. As part of this program, you practice in our modern Mechatronics Lab at DCC @ Fishkill. The lab features a dedicated HVAC lab with ample training space for refrigeration systems.
A Hot Start to a Cool Career: Fall 2025
This fall, DCC is launching the first cohort of HVAC students. If you’re ready to get started or take the next step in your career, now’s the perfect time. Students in this first group will receive a $2,100 scholarship toward tuition and fees! You'll also get a $500 book voucher and a $300 stipend to help you with some of the costs of transportation and attendance.
To be eligible, you must enroll full-time in the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Certificate and register for HVAC Technician Foundational Skills I. Space is limited, and both day and evening cohorts are available. Learn more below.

What You Study in Our Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology Program
Equip yourself with the specialized knowledge you'll need for entry-level employment in air conditioning and refrigeration.
After two focused semesters, you are ready to install, repair and maintain equipment. Work in versatile settings—food markets and processors, offices, apartments, manufacturing plants, schools and more.
Emerge from DCC ready to apply your expertise to safely work with residential air conditioning systems and light commercial refrigeration systems.
