Electrical technology drives our world – from powerplant generators and electrical grids to wearable electronics and solar panels. The Mechatronics Lab

At the new mechatronics lab at the Center of Excellence for Industry & Innovation at Fishkill, you’ll have access to state-of-the-art equipment and the opportunity to explore cutting edge science from the moment you begin your degree. Practice  automated assembly in our “smart factory.” Gain experience with programmable controls, sensors, robotics and manufacturing.

What You'll Study in Our Electrical Technology Program

You'll get a broad overview of electrical technology, including how to install, repair and maintain systems, how to diagnose and troubleshoot them, and how to research, analyze and interpret technical information.

You'll have hands-on experience with tools like soldering and circuit assembly, and get familiar with meters, oscilloscopes and computer simulations.

A supportive community of expert faculty are committed to your professional success. After DCC, you'll be prepared to work in an array of high-demand jobs in manufacturing, alternative energy, telecommunications, security systems and other related industries. Or transfer to get your bachelor's degree.
