Chief Diversity Officer

Our interim chief diversity officer is Dr. Melissa Carlo, DCC's current director of TRiO.

In her seven years working in TRiO, Dr. Carlo has mentored, advised and supported hundreds of students identified as being first generation, low-income or having a disability. She currently serves on DCC’s Diversity Council and has co-advised the Latin American Student Organization. Out in the community, Dr. Carlo is a board member for the Association for Equality and Excellence in Education. As someone who truly embodies a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, Dr. Carlo brings a great deal of experience and passion to the role.
