Our Next 10

The most important and impactful work the campus will undertake this year in collaboration with community partners – the College’s Academic and Facilities Master Planning initiative – began in fall 2018. Known as “Our Next 10,” the process will result in the creation of a comprehensive 10-year master plan that addresses the institution’s academic direction, community engagement and facilities redevelopment.

The document will chart DCC’s course for the next decade, ensuring that it is positioned to meet the challenges and harness the opportunities ahead, and continue to meet the evolving needs of students, employers and the community at large.

More than 50 internal and external stakeholders of the College – including faculty, staff, students, alumni, board members, county government, local business leaders and community partners – are examining the institution through three parallel lenses: context and alignment, learning innovation and physical assets and resources. Their work is informed by content-area specialists and data analytics across a variety of topics including regional demographics, college enrollment history, community and workforce needs and existing physical space.

Facilitating the process is a team of consultants with decades of experience in public higher education academic and facilities planning.
