Certified Nurse Assistant Certification

Train today to become a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). CNAs work in a variety of settings such as nursing homes, hospitals and home care agencies. Nursing Assistants are an important part of the healthcare team, helping patients with feeding, mobility, personal hygiene and other needs. This 120-hour course includes a 30-hour clinical experience in a local nursing home. Upon completion, students will be eligible to take the NYS Department of Health Certification Exam.  

The course will be taught in a hybrid format, with all lecture hours transitioned to remote online learning. 

If you are within the first 8 person cap you will be following Section 1 Lab dates.

Section 1 Labs at FPC – 5/28, 6/3, 6/10, 6/17, 6/24, 7/1, 7/8, 7/9 

There is an 8 person cap for this class, once the cap is reached you will still be able to join the waitlist. Depending on enrollment numbers we will be offering a second section of Labs. You will be following the same schedule below but will be in the section 2 labs which will be held at the FPC on Fridays: 5/24, 5/31, 6/7, 6/14, 6/21, 6/28, 7/10, 7/11.

Tuition: $1,595 (Payment Plan Available). Additional expenses include: Physical, immunizations, TB test, Text books, Uniform, NYS DOH Certification Exam.

**Before you can register, you will need to attend a program orientation and sit for a reading comprehension test or submit an unofficial college transcript. To register for an orientation session go to www.sunydutchess.edu/cna. When you have completed these requirements, you will be given a link to register into the course. You will be unable to register yourself**
