Michael Dupree and husband Michael Fleischer named Family of the Year

On July 13 at The Grandview in Poughkeepsie, DCC’s Board of Trustees Chair and his husband were presented with the Quality of Life Award for their philanthropic work in the community.

The Family of the Year Awards celebration is Family Services' flagship event that recognizes local families and individuals who go above and beyond in their efforts to support the success of others. Each year, the nonprofit selects two families whose service has made a memorable and positive impact on the Hudson Valley community.

DCC President Dr. Peter Grant Jordan said, “On behalf of the College, I congratulate our Board of Trustees Chairman, Michael Dupree and his husband Michael Fleischer, on this Quality of Life Award. They consistently demonstrate the core values DCC holds dear – collaboration, engagement, equity, innovation and excellence. Their immense support for DCC over the years has made a tangible difference in the lives of our students. We are incredibly proud and grateful that they are part of the DCC family.”

DCC Board of Trustees Vice Chair Dr. Angela Flesland shared, “Honoring 'The Michaels' at the Family Services Family of the Year Awards dinner offered others the chance to see something DCC knows so well — the Dupree-Fleisher family’s contributions to so many charitable organizations in Dutchess County, which help make us a stronger community.”
