POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — APR. 26, 2024 — Three Dutchess Community College students have received awards for excellence from the State University of New York (SUNY). It is the highest honor bestowed upon a student by the University.

Susanna Gilgert (Poughkeepsie), Emily Mahoney (Poughkeepsie) and Kaitlin Robin (Hopewell Junction) were among just 193 students from 62 SUNY campuses presented with Chancellor’s Awards for Student Excellence (CASE). SUNY Chancellor John B. King, Jr. said, “It is with deep admiration that I commend you all for your work to elevate your communities, inspire your peers, and shape a better tomorrow. Witnessing your growth and impact as not just SUNY students, but as good citizens, fills me with immense pride.”
