September 11, 2019 – The Dutchess Community College Foundation earned a 2019 Educational Fundraising Award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
The Foundation was recognized for exemplary program development based on a blind analysis of three years of fundraising data. Specifically, the Foundation was acknowledged for increased total support including an almost 45% growth in alumni donors, more diversified and successful programs, meaningful impact of large gifts and more.
The Foundation raises funds to provide scholarships and support other college projects that have a significant and direct impact on the students, faculty and staff. It awarded approximately $800,000 for student scholarships and other educational initiatives last year.
“These institutions have not only demonstrated the highest levels of professionalism and best practice in their fundraising efforts, they have contributed to the betterment of educational advancement worldwide by serving as a model to which others can aspire,” said Sue Cunningham, CASE president and CEO.
Approximately 100 colleges across the country were recognized by CASE this year. The award marks the first time the DCC Foundation has been honored by CASE.
