June 14, 2016 – Adults interested in expanding their career options can learn about Dutchess Community
College’s almost 60 associate degree programs and dozens of accelerated certificate
offerings at an open house June 28 at 6 p.m. in room 122 of Bowne Hall on DCC’s main
campus.
Specialists in adult learning will be on hand to speak to participants about a variety
of options. Associate degree programs are available in business, communications, computer
science, engineering and many other areas. Academic certificate programs, which generally
take one year to complete, include bookkeeping, paralegal, computers and web, early
childhood, air conditioning and refrigeration and more. Short-term certificate programs,
which typically take only weeks or months to finish, include certified production
technician for manufacturing, medical billing and coding, EKG technician, alcohol
and substance abuse counselor and more.
Opportunities for knowledge-based credits and financial aid counseling are available.
On-campus day care also is available.
