Fun(d) for a Good Cause

We are proud to award over $450,000 in scholarships, faculty/staff mini-grants and for other educational enhancements annually.

Over 250 students benefit from our scholarships. Our focus is to give deserving students a little extra help in their pursuit of higher education. Dutchess Community College is our community’s bridge to a bright and better future. You can assist us in our efforts by sponsoring, attending and volunteering for our events. Bernard Handel Community Leadership Award

The Bernard Handel Community Leadership award recognizes individuals who have given their time, leadership, and a record of achievement to not-for-profit organizations.

Bridge to the Future Award

This award recognizes individuals and organizations that distinguish themselves in working with others to enhance education, economic vitality, community wellness or civic responsibility in the mid-Hudson Valley.

Craft Fair

Each year, DCC hosts a Craft Fair with more than 100 artists on the weekend following Thanksgiving. The Fair has become a much-anticipated event as it allows people to get a head start on their holiday shopping by purchasing one-of-a-kind gifts.

Quilt Show

Our biennial Dutchess Heritage Quilt Show supports the Dutchess Heritage Quilters Scholarship, awarded annually in May to a non-traditional student in the Performing, Visual Arts and Communications department.
