Dutchess Community College – which already has the lowest tuition in the state, at
$2,175 per semester -- is now more affordable than ever! Enroll full time in a degree
or certificate program this fall and get up to $500 to help pay for textbooks, technology,
transportation, housing, food, childcare and other necessities. Part-time students
enrolled in six to 11 credits may receive $250.
DCC is excited to make this CARES Cash available through the federal CARES Act, designed
to help students pursue a higher education this year despite the emotional, physical
and financial impact Covid-19 has had on them and their families. The funds for fall
will be distributed to students through direct deposit or check in mid-September.

including how to register for classes and apply for the CARES Cash. In the meantime,
you’ll need to complete your FAFSA, which is a requirement of the program.

Per federal requirements, please note that as of 7/21/2020, DCC has disbursed $907,800
of the Student Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds for the Spring 2020 semester.
- Tier 1 for Spring 2020: 858 students disbursed amounts of $850.00 each for a total
of $729,300.00 as of 7/21/2020.
- Tier 2 for Spring 2020: 357 students disbursed amounts of $500.00 each for a total
of $178,500.00 as of 7/21/2020.
