Our group classes will be offered on-campus with all appropriate health and safety guidelines. If the Academy of Music is directed to switch to an online format, students will be allowed to continue online or receive a full or partial refund based on the number of classes they received. If moved to an online format, instructional days and times will remain the same.
Individual lessons will be offered both online and on-campus
On-campus individual lessons will follow all appropriate health and safety guidelines. If the Academy of Music is directed to suspend or cancel on-campus lessons, students will be allowed to switch to online lessons or receive a full or partial refund based on the number of lessons they received.
COVID-related protocols vary based on guidance from CDC, NYS, SUNY and Dutchess County. For updated guidelines please visit this page.
Our instructors are experienced in delivering high quality musical instruction in an online format using Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, etc., as well as providing technical assistance on how to get everything set up. In order to take online lessons and classes you will need a reliable internet connection, device (smartphone, computer, tablet, etc.) and place where you can make music.
While an online setting for studying music may seem strange at first, it really is just as engaging as in-person. Visit our YouTube channel for Behind the Scenes videos showing what it's like.
