Insurance is a thriving business for those who are people-oriented and enjoy the service end of business. There are many opportunities for growth and promotion in the insurance industry. Whether you are new to the field or have some experience and are looking to become certified, our Property Casualty Program is perfect for you. If you are a good listener, empathetic and have patience, you are right for the field. Basic computer and customer service skills are also a plus. You will need a high school diploma to work in the insurance industry.
Those who complete this program can work at local/regional independent insurance agents and brokers offices. Some direct writers like GEICO, State Farm, Allstate, etc. would also be options. Some banks and credit unions are now involved in insurance sales. They work as customer service representatives or sales for personal lines products like auto and home insurance. The course can also expand the range of skills for personal lines staff to include commercial insurance service and sales. Some gain knowledge and become partial or full owners of small businesses.
