Health Office

Staffed by a registered nurse, the Health Office provides basic first aid, health counseling and education, and referrals to appropriate agencies and resources.

We work with the County Department of Behavioral and Community Health on all health-related issues. Medical emergencies are referred to Campus Safety and Security (ext. 8070), and, when necessary, the local ambulance for emergency transport. In requesting medical assistance, the College merely acts as an agent for the injured party. All medical costs are the responsibility of the injured party. In accordance with the Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (Buckley Amendment), medical information will not be released without written consent of the individual party.

Immunization Requirements

Submit Your Immunization Records

New York State Public Health Law 2165 requires that all post-secondary students born on or after January 1, 1957, and are enrolled for six or more credits, to document immunity against measles, mumps, and rubella before registering for classes. Submit your immunization records here.

Information about Health Requirements for NYS Students

COVID-19

If you test positive for COVID-19

Following updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control, if you test positive for COVID-19 should isolate at home or in the residence hall until they have been fever free for at least 24 hours without the aid of medications and symptoms are improving. It is no longer necessary to isolate for five days after testing positive if you are not experiencing fever or worsening symptoms. Anyone who tests positive should continue to wear a high-quality mask and practice physical distancing for a five-day period, even if they are symptom free.

What are the COVID-19 vaccination requirements on campus?

In accordance with CDC recommendations and the evolving public health situation, the College is strongly encouraging everyone in the community—students, faculty, and staff—to stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations, and will continue to organize on-campus vaccination clinics whenever possible based on vaccine availability. However, the College will no longer require students to submit COVID-19 vaccination data.
