Save the date!

PLEASE NOTE:
Due to the prevailing public health concerns about COVID-19, and with an abundance of caution and concern for your health and well-being, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our annual Community’s Bridge to the Future Gala scheduled for Saturday, March 28. Our new date for the celebration at the Grandview is November 1, 2020.  We are very hopeful you will be able to join us. Sponsorships and tickets for March 28 will be honored for the new date of November 1. If you have any questions or concerns about the changes, please reach out to us at (845) 431-8403. We would be happy to discuss options with you.

The Dutchess Community College Foundation is pleased to invite you to become a supporter of the Our Community’s Bridge to the Future gala to be held Saturday, November 1, 2020 at the Grandview. The College truly is the bridge that many in our community need to reach their goals. Please celebrate and partner with us by selecting a sponsorship or placing an ad in our commemorative dinner journal. Proceeds raised support the more than $775,000 the DCC Foundation provides to students, faculty, staff and the College.

We are honored to induct Shirley Roberts Brereton ’88, Anthony DiMaso ’65 and Joan DiMaso ’68 into the DCC Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame for their outstanding professional contributions and commitment to our community.

Think Ahead Program Partners: Dutchess County Government, Abilities First, The Arc of Dutchess, Maplebrook School and Taconic Resources for Independence will be presented with the Bridge to the Future Award. The Think Ahead Program was created to provide a College experience for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities; it is our pleasure to recognize our partners for the creation of this remarkably innovative program that is enhancing the quality of life for many young people in the Mid-Hudson Valley.

We are delighted Martin Charwat will receive the Bernard Handel Community Leadership Award for his outstanding service, volunteer work and executive leadership for nonprofit organizations throughout Dutchess County.

We hope you will join us in celebrating this year’s honorees by becoming a sponsor, purchasing an ad in the printed program, or purchasing tickets to attend. You may make a donation online or print the gala brochure and mail it to the Foundation office with a check.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Burnelle Roser at burnelle.roser@sunydutchess.edu or (845) 431-8402. Thank you so much for your consideration and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,
