HEERF/CARES Act Notices

Every quarter, Dutchess Community College provides official reports detailing distributions of funds from federal COVID-19 relief programs for students.

CARES Act and HEERF Fund Distributions

The CARES (Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security) Act is federal legislation that provides a variety of financial supports to individuals and businesses affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The CARES Act established the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF), which allows colleges to provide emergency financial aid grants to students who have experienced financial hardship from additional expenses due to the coronavirus.

Students eligible to receive these funds have been notified via their myDCC email.
