A Hot Start to a Cool Career: Fall 2025
This fall, DCC is launching the first cohort of HVAC students. If you’re ready to get started or take the next step in your career, now’s the perfect time. Students in this first group will receive a $2,100 scholarship toward tuition and fees! You'll also get a $500 book voucher and a $300 stipend to help you with some of the costs of transportation and attendance.
To be eligible, you must enroll full-time in the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Certificate and register for HVAC Technician Foundational Skills I. Space is limited, and both day and evening cohorts are available. Learn more below.

Each microcredential is designed to build toward something bigger. The courses you complete will apply to DCC’s Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Certificate. You’ll also earn digital badges along the way to demonstrate your skills to employers.

Courses are offered in both day and evening cohorts at the Mechatronics Lab in DCC’s Center of Excellence for Industry & Innovation in Fishkill.
What You Study in Our HVAC Technician Microcredentials
DCC’s HVAC technician microcredentials are designed to help you build practical, job-ready skills in heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. Each takes just 15 weeks to complete and builds on the one before—starting with core system knowledge and progressing to more advanced concepts in air distribution, heating and control systems.
All courses are taught in person at the Mechatronics Lab at DCC’s Center of Excellence for Industry & Innovation in Fishkill, where you’ll work with the same tools used by HVAC professionals.
