Students with disabling conditions who believe that they may need testing accommodations are encouraged to contact The Office of Accommodative Services at accommodativeservices@sunydutchess.edu as soon as possible to better ensure that such accommodations are implemented in a timely fashion. For more information, visit their page at www.sunydutchess.edu/oas. Students who have approved testing accommodations through the Office of Accommodative Services should bring the Accommodation Letter to the Testing Center as well as provide a copy to each course instructor.

Scheduling an Appointment Utilizing Testing Accommodations

Students who need to use the Testing Center for an exam should schedule an appointment with the Testing Center at least two days in advance of the testing date to secure a seat. Please schedule an exam by clicking on the link under “Learn More” for the location which applies. Students should make this appointment for the time when the rest of the class is scheduled to test. If this is not possible, students are to speak to their instructor to ensure an alternate time is acceptable. Once students make an appointment with the Testing Center, please inform the course instructor.

Contact accommodativeservices@sunydutchess.edu for information regarding documentation requirements needed to establish accommodations. Students will be notified in writing of approved accommodations.

Students must forward their electronic copy of the accommodation letter to the Testing Center at DCCProctor@sunydutchess.edu before scheduling a testing appointment.

Accommodations are not retroactive. Students who choose to take a test without accommodations may not re-take the test with accommodations.
