Q: Am I eligible?
A: See our Eligibility Page.
Q: Where is the CSTEP office?
A: CSTEP is located in Hudson Hall, Room 400. We are the very last door on the right at the end of Hudson Hall closest to the Student Services Center.
Q: When is the CSTEP office open? / What hours are available for tutoring?
A: The CSTEP office is primarily open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., although there may be certain times when the office will need to be closed temporarily. Tutoring is available per the schedules of our tutors, which can change from semester to semester. Our best advice: stop by and check the tutors' schedules.
Q: In what subjects can I be tutored?
A: CSTEP tutors can help with most classes taken here at DCC, though there are a few exceptions. Of course, if you're not sure about a particular class, please stop in and ask -- that's what we're here for.
Q: What hours are available for tutoring?
A: Our tutors' hours vary by individual. Each tutor has a schedule of his/her hours hanging in the tutoring office. Our best advice: stop by and check the tutors' schedules.
Q: Do I need an appointment to be tutored?
A: No, walk-ins are fine. However, keep in mind that if someone is currently being tutored when you come in, they are entitled to their time.
Q: I have a paper to write, but the labs are full. Do you have a computer I can use?
A: Yes. CSTEP has three PCs for student use, all networked to a central printer. Each PC is complete with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
