Academic Services & Testing

The Academic Services and Testing Centers at the Poughkeepsie and Dutchess South Campus will be closed until further notice.

We will be offering remote academic support services for the rest of the Spring 2020 semester. These services are available for both the Poughkeepsie and Dutchess South students.

Tutoring Services are available remotely Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Fridays 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Online Support to Answer Student Questions

The Academic Services Student Ambassadors are available on Zoom if you have a question about Tutoring or Testing Services. Online Student Support is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

To access the support line:

1. Go to Zoom.us

2. Click join a meeting

3. Enter the email address of DCCTutoringProgram@sunydutchess.edu.

4. Enter the meeting Id of 482-654-8328

5. A Student Ambassador will be on the line to answer your questions.

For Tutoring Services:

If you are already scheduled with a tutor (meaning you had been meeting face-to-face with a tutor), then plan to meet as previously scheduled beginning Monday, March 30th. The only difference is that the meeting will take place using Zoom. Prior to the scheduled appointment, you will receive an email to your DCC email with instructions and a link to join the Zoom meeting. Additionally, you will continue to get appointment reminder emails from TutorTrac.

If you want to apply for a tutor (meaning you had not been meeting with a tutor face-to-face), here are the steps to follow:

1. Email DCCTutoringprogram@sunydutchess.edu from your DCC email to request a tutor. In the email include:

a. your name,
b. A#,
c. cell number,
d. course(s) you are requesting tutoring for,
e. and open time slots for each day of the week during which you’d be available for tutoring.
f. List as many open time slots as possible, so we can work on matching you with a tutor and setting your weekly, one-hour tutoring appointment.

2. Watch your DCC email address for an email from TutorTrac to receive details about your assigned tutor, appointment day and time, etc.

3. Prior to your appointment, look out for a separate email with instructions and a link to join the Zoom meeting for your tutoring session.

4. Write down the Zoom meeting id because you will be using it each week to connect remotely with your tutor.

For Learning Assistance:

If you are already have an appointment scheduled, then plan to meet as previously scheduled. The only difference is that the meeting will take place using Zoom. Prior to the scheduled appointment, you will receive an email to your DCC email with instructions and a link to join the Zoom meeting. Additionally, you will continue to get appointment reminder emails from TutorTrac.

If you want to schedule a learning assistance meeting for the first time, here are the steps to follow:

1. Email DCCTutoringprogram@sunydutchess.edu from your DCC email to request a meeting. In the email include:

a. your name,
b. A#,
c. cell number,
d. and at least three options for possible days/times to meet.

2. Watch for an email to finalize and confirm your scheduled appointment.

3. Prior to your appointment, look for a separate email with instructions and a link to join the Zoom meeting for your learning assistance meeting.
