The ACT Center provides holistic advisement for students including transfer and career
planning. ACT coaches teach students the skills needed to choose a major and design
an achievable academic plan.
As students continue their studies at Dutchess, they can rely on ACT coaches to deliver
academic, career and transfer programming that will expose them to a variety of occupational
and scholastic opportunities. This allows students to explore their interests, while
working with their ACT coaches to complete their studies and prepare for life after
DCC. The ACT Center partners with faculty, staff, and the community to ensure that
all students have a quality educational experience.
Due to COVID-19, the ACT Center is offering academic, career and transfer services
remotely. The ACT Center offers phone, video, and email advisement options.
We offer Zoom Walk-Ins Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., and Fridays
from 10:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Students can access the Zoom Walk-In link by checking their
student email account, or reaching out to the ACT Center through email (ACT@sunydutchess.edu) or by phone at (845) 431-8600. If you prefer to schedule an e-advisement appointment
you may request it by emailing or calling the ACT Center as well.
