Dutchess Community College is situated on a beautiful, 130-acre campus in the Town of Poughkeepsie, just minutes from the Hudson River and Marist and Vassar colleges. With a proud 60-year history and more than 50 academic programs, the College is highly regarded for providing an outstanding education in an enriching, caring and supportive environment. Our faculty and staff are committed to student success and our affordable tuition (under $3,900 per year) offers students and families significant savings on the first two years of a college education.
Whether you’re starting college right after high school or are returning as an adult, you’ll find your fit at DCC and will be able to achieve your dreams. If you’re planning to pursue a bachelor’s degree, know that the majority of our students do transfer to four-year schools, and that DCC alumni go on to top colleges and universities including Cornell, RPI, Pace, NYU, Vassar, Marist and SUNY institutions. If you’d prefer to enter the workforce after completing a degree or certificate at DCC, you’ll be well prepared and sought after by employers.
DCC is proud to serve a range of students – from those who were at the top of their class, to those who struggled through school. Our individualized, personal approach ensures that each student is challenged, engaged and supported. Whether you commute to the College or live on campus in our contemporary, suite-style residence hall, you’ll find the full college experience at DCC.
In a recent SUNY survey, nine out of 10 students said they’d choose DCC again if they were to do it over again. Check out our website and visit campus to learn why!
