There's still time to register for the Dutchess Community College Foundation's 27th Annual Golf Tournament and Dinner set for May 23 at the Dutchess Golf Club. The event is held annually in memory of Jack Orcutt, who was DCC's first director of student activities and a founding member of the College staff. Funds raised will go toward student scholarships at DCC.

Dutchess Community College Trustee Barbara Hugo was re-appointed to the board at its April 26 meeting. Her new term expires in 2022.

Early childhood caregivers can learn about becoming credentialed at an information session on May 17 at 6 p.m. at Dutchess Community College's Poughkeepsie campus, Taconic Hall, room 209. The two-semester, 12-credit Child Development Associate credentialing program will be held Tuesday evenings beginning in the fall.

Prospective studentsand familiesinterested in learning about Dutchess Community College's academic programs, financial aid opportunities, student activities and suite-style residence hall are invited to attend Discover DCC Day on Saturday, May 7 from 1-4 p.m. in the James and Betty Hall Theatre in Dutchess Hall on the Poughkeepsie campus.

The Dutchess Community College Foundation's annual Gala - Community's Bridge to the Future - was held on March 19 at the Grandview in Poughkeepsie. The event drew approximately 400 guests to honor four and raised more than $185,000 for student scholarships.

The Music School at Dutchess Community College, part of DCC's Office of Community Services, will host a recital featuring members of its faculty March 12 at 2 p.m. in the James and Betty Hall Theatre on DCC's main campus.

Almost 200 local business and community leaders, donors and friends gathered Jan. 7 for the 23rd Annual President's Breakfast, which was hosted by the Dutchess Community College Foundation and featured a state of the college address by Dr. Pamela Edington, DCC president.

The Dutchess Community College Foundation will host its 44th Annual Craft Fair on Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 28 and 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day on the DCC main campus in Poughkeepsie. This has become one of the area's most anticipated hand-made crafts events.

The annual Sing-a-Thon/Play-a-Thon hosted by the Music School at Dutchess Community College will be held Saturday, Aug. 1 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the James and Betty Hall Theatre on the main DCC campus in Poughkeepsie. The Music School is part of the College's Office of Community Services.
