LPTV Channel 42 (W42AE)

The Instructional Media Department operates a low power television (LPTV) station broadcasting to the local community on UHF Channel 42. The station delivers DCC directly into 130,000+ households in the Dutchess County area.

The College retransmits the broadcast signal of Channel 17, WMHT, Schenectady, on Channel 42. The station is used as a promotional tool for College-sponsored special events and activities. Instructional Media airs a 30-second I.D. announcement on Channel 42 each hour.

W42AE also serves as a broadcast outlet for “Learning in Progress,” a half-hour newsmagazine, and other programming produced by the College’s Communications & Media Arts students during the fall and spring semesters.
