Transfer Agreement - SUNY New Paltz

MEETING SUNY NEW PALTZ’S GENERAL EDUCATION REQUIRMENTS: A.A. or A.S. degree holders who complete courses in all ten Knowledge and Skill areas of the SUNY-Mandated General Education requirement are considered as having met New Paltz’s General Education requirement.

GUARANTEED ADMISSION: A.A. or A.S. degree holders from DCC, when transferring directly after receiving the degree, are guaranteed admission to SUNY New Paltz with full junior standing. However, all transfer students must meet the same requirements for entrance into the major of choice, as are required of native students.

JOINTLY REGISTERED TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAMS: The A.S. degree programs listed below are approved by the NYS Education Department and designed for students preparing to become certified teachers in grades Birth-2, 1-6, and 7-12. They provide students an opportunity to complete the first two years of study at DCC and the final two years of study at SUNY New Paltz.
