Campus Activities - Schedule of Events

Start your fall journey with Dutchess Community College by taking advantage of the many activities listed here. These activities are planned by the Student Activities office for our students, however, as your community college, we invite all members of the county and beyond to participate.

Please click on any of the links in the left hand column to find out about the numerous fun, interesting, and (mostly) free events the College offers. If you have any questions or suggestions, please call 431-8050 or stop in and see us in the Student Activities Office (Dutchess Hall-201). We welcome your ideas. Have a great semester!

Please note that some of the events listed are offered first to students, and then become available on a "space available" basis.

Ticket Sales Start September 19

More detailed information about the fall 2006 events can be obtained by clicking on the event. Please note that tickets remaining are an approximation. Numbers are updated once a day.

PROGRAM GUIDELINES

NOTE:  You MUST be currently enrolled in the Fall 2006 semester in credit bearing classes to be eligible to purchase tickets.  See the following for further guidelines.
  • Tickets for all trips are available on a first-come, first-served basis in the Office of Student Activities located on the main floor of Dutchess Hall (D-201).  Sale days are as follows:

Tuesday, September 19, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday, September 20, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Tickets are available all other school days after September 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Checks should be made payable to Dutchess Community College.  VISA and MASTERCARD are now accepted.  NOTE:  YOU MAY ONLY PURCHASE TICKETS FOR YOURSELF AND YOUR GUEST(S).

  • Each student may buy tickets to ONLY ONE Broadway play trip on the first two days.
  • Buses will leave the College at the stated time and will depart the activity not later than 10 minutes after the activity has concluded.  Students not returning on the bus must inform the escort.  If you miss the bus, it is your responsibility to obtain transportation to your destination at your own expense.  Students are responsible for their personal belongings and the College and any part thereof is not responsible for any personal damage or loss ensued while participating in trips sponsored by the Student Activities Program.
  • Your SUNYCARD ID CARD must be presented when signing up for events and when receiving tickets on the bus.  (A registration receipt is NOT acceptable.)  Tickets are non-transferable (i.e. you may not give tickets to friends or relatives).
  • Students may bring one guest per trip unless otherwise noted.
  • For trips where bus transportation is provided, ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO RIDE THE BUS.
  • REFUNDS – Refunds will be granted in full only if you bring in your tickets and receipt at least ten (10) school days prior to said event.  (PLEASE NOTE: NO refund will be granted for tickets returned less than 10 school days from the event.  However, an exception to this ruling is if the event is a “sell out” AND the returned tickets are re-sold.  Only under these circumstances will a refund be granted for tickets returned after the allowed return date.)

The Office of Student Activities has instituted a new policy regarding availability of additional tickets for students and tickets for the general public.  This policy will work as such:  Each semester a date will be set whereby remaining trips will be opened up to the student body and general public.  However, trips occurring before this “open up” date will be opened on an individual basis, i.e., the Monday proceeding the trip. The “open up” date for the Fall 2006 semester is Tuesday, October 3, 2006.

GAS SAVER SPECIAL

We offer you the option of meeting the bus at several locations.  When traveling south, buses will stop at Dutchess Community College South, Hollowbrook Plaza off Myers Corners Road.  When traveling north, buses will stop at Stop and Shop in Rhinebeck (in front of the store).  Pick up time for this stop is approximately 30 minutes after departure time from the college.  IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE PICKED UP AT THIS ALTERNATE LOCATION, YOU MUST INFORM US WHEN YOU PURCHASE YOUR TICKETS!
