Beginning this semester, DCC will offer students two new, convenient ways to receive Financial Aid payouts and refunds for credit courses. Instead of receiving paper checks which can delay refunds for up to 21 days, students can now opt to get their money deposited the same day it is released, to the all-new DCC Refund Card -- or, elect to have their refunds directly deposited to their bank account within 2 business days. These enhancements are available through our new partnership with Higher One, Inc., a financial services company focused on higher education.
The DCC Refund Card will be mailed to you at the beginning of October. Once you receive it, simply visit DCCRefundCard.com to select the refund method that best fits your needs:
- An Easy RefundSM to the OneAccount — a no minimum balance, no monthly fee, FDIC insured checking account directly linked to your DCC Refund Card.
- An ACH (electronic) transfer to an existing bank account.
( Note : If you do not select one of the above electronic refund options, a paper check option is available. However, this refund method requires a 21 day waiting period.)
To ensure timely delivery of your card, it is important that DCC has your current mailing address on file. To verify, please log in to your myDCC account and select the My Courses tab. Here, you can use the Banner Self-Service area to send an email from your DCC address to firstname.lastname@example.org and make the necessary updates.
Additionally, when you confirm or update your address, you’ll also be registered to win a $50 iTunes gift card, parking for the semester in Lot B, and other great prizes. So don’t wait! Even if you’re not currently expecting a refund from DCC, we may have a refund for you in the future. That’s why it’s important for you to log in and set up your refund preference as soon as you receive the card.
