Russell S. Cleverley Memorial Scholarship

One award of $500
Russell Cleverley was not only a DCC graduate, but a member of the adjunct faculty as well. His family has established this scholarship in his memory to be awarded to a full-time student majoring in English with at least a 3.00 GPA and 24 credits.


The Italian Center Scholarship in Language Arts

One award of $500
This scholarship has been established by the members of the Italian Center for a second-year student who has shown outstanding devotion to the study of the Italian language. The applicant must be a student who has 20 or more academic credits and has achieved a 3.00 GPA or higher.


William and Margaret Mair Memorial Scholarship

Two awards of $500
William and Margaret Mair, noted Poughkeepsie philanthropists, joined with the Edwin Gould Foundation to offer support to local students studying at DCC. This scholarship is awarded to full-time, second-year students enrolled in Liberal Arts/Humanities and Social Sciences Program.


McCann Foundation Scholarship

One award of $900
The McCann Foundation was established by James J. McCann, a local feed and grain dealer. Grants are given each year by the Foundation for community service, recreation, religion, arts, engineering, technology, and education. The McCann Foundation Scholarship is awarded to a full-time, second-year student who is a Dutchess County resident.


Michael O’Dell Scholarship

One award of $975

This scholarship was established by alumnus Michael O’Dell, class of ’69, as a reflection of his gratitude for the excellent education and guidance he received at Dutchess Community College. This award is for a second-year student studying in the area of liberal arts or humanities.


Edmund Webb Memorial Scholarship

One award of $825
Edmund Webb was a community-minded resident who had great respect for the quality of education offered at DCC. He left a large bequest to be used for scholarships for DCC students. This scholarship is awarded to a full-time, second-year student enrolled in liberal arts and sciences/humanities and social sciences.


Richard White and Judith Lessinger Scholarship in Philosophy

One award of $500
Judith Lessinger established this scholarship as a reflection of her gratitude to DCC faculty members who taught Philosophy to her son, Richard White, while he was a student at the College. This scholarship is awarded to a full-time, second-year student interested in the study of philosophy who has achieved at least a 3.00 GPA.


Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society of Wappingers Falls Scholarship

One award of $500
This scholarship was established in 2001 by the members of  Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society of Wappingers Falls. This Society once provided religious and cultural support for Italian Americans. The applicant must be a matriculated student studying in the field of language arts. The student must have earned at least 20 credits with a grade point average of 2.50 or higher.
