September 26, 2013 – The Dutchess Community College Foundation will host the 16th bi-annual Dutchess Heritage Quilt Show Oct. 12 and 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on DCC’s main campus in Poughkeepsie.
All proceeds will go to support the Dutchess Heritage Quilters Scholarship, which is given annually each May at the DCC Convocation. It is awarded to a non-traditional student in the Performing, Visual Arts and Communications department.
The show will include vendors, quilt judging, lectures, a fabric postcard challenge, food concessions and workshops including featured presentations by author and quilting teacher Ami Simms.
