Poughkeepsie, N.Y. – Dutchess Community College’s website, which was redesigned and unveiled in January, was recently honored with the Gold Medallion Award from District 1 of the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR).
The site was created with engaging photos of the DCC campus and students, and incorporated the use of white space and a user-friendly design with intuitive navigation and comprehensive information.
“Dutchess Community College is very honored to receive this prestigious award,” said DCC President Dr. D. David Conklin. “Our site’s informational and visual features are able to meet the needs of its regular users in the campus community, and at the same time make a great impression on those who are first learning about the College through its web presence.”
NCMPR District 1 consists of 95 member colleges in the eastern US from Maryland to Maine, the eastern provinces of Canada, and the United Kingdom. The competition is the only one of its kind that honors excellence exclusively at two-year colleges.
DCC’s Office of Community Relations and Graphics has received numerous honors from NCMPR, most recently, one gold and four bronze awards at the 2008 regional competition for various College publications.
Founded in 1957, Dutchess Community College is a two-year community college with more than 50 years of service to the residents of Dutchess County. Visit www.sunydutchess.edu.
