November 7, 2012 – Members of the Dutchess Community College Performing Arts program will join with students in DCC’s Masquers’ Guild performance troupe to present the satirical comedy musical “Urinetown” from Nov. 15-18.
Show times are 8 p.m. for Nov. 15-17, and 2 p.m. for Nov. 18. All performances will be held in the James and Betty Hall Theatre on DCC’s main Poughkeepsie campus.
The musical, which ran on Broadway from 2001-2004, is set in a world where a 20-year drought leads to the outlawing of private bathroom facilities, prompting a group of rebels to take on the Urine Good Company mega-corporation that controls the public toilets.
DCC’s production is directed and choreographed by Kevin Archambault with musical direction by Matt Woolever.
Tickets will be available at the door 30 minutes before each performance. General admission is $10, senior citizens and students are $5, and DCC students can show their DCC ID for free admission.
