November 17, 2010 – The Dutchess Community College Office of Community Services and the upstate New York area of the Internal Revenue Service will present a credit-free program called the Tax Practitioners’ Institute geared toward enrolled agents, certified public accountants and tax preparation practitioners. It will be held Tuesday, Dec. 7 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Bowne Hall, room 122 on DCC’s Poughkeepsie campus.
Course topics include tax law updates, employment tax initiatives, state tax and finance changes on sales tax and income tax audits, submission processing and more.
Tax professionals who complete the class will earn eight continuing professional education units in compliance with IRS guidelines. Tuition for the course is $81, and registration should be completed by Nov. 30 to avoid a late fee of $10. The program includes a continental breakfast and boxed lunch.
