March 17, 2011 – Dutchess Community College’s Office of Community Services has launched a new Kids on Campus summer schedule, offering morning, afternoon and full-day sessions for children ages 6-18. Focuses include arts and crafts, sports, science, music, computers and other exciting areas. In addition, there is a traditional day-camp experience that includes swimming and field trips. Kids on Campus offers convenience and flexibility; children can attend different combinations of programs from one to eight weeks.
Sessions begin June 27 and run through August 19 and include baseball, golf, photo editing, secret agent lab, computer programming, storytelling and more. Visit www.sunydutchess.edu/cfweb for a full program schedule.
To give working parents flexibility, before- and after-care are available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
“We’re delighted to unveil the Kids on Campus summer program,” said Dr. Carol Stevens, DCC Vice President and Dean of Community Services. “With feedback from parents and educators, we’ve put together a range of educational and recreational offerings to keep children and teens happy, safe, active and engaged this summer.”
