July 11, 2017 – Students can expect enhanced services this fall as Dutchess Community College brings two leading providers to campus. Chartwells Dining Services will manage all campus dining facilities and Follett will operate the DCC Bookstore.
Chartwells will offer students, faculty and staff new options including more local and whole-food-focused meals as well as vegetarian and vegan dishes. Additionally, a dining app for smartphones will provide access to daily menus, nutritional information, hours and more. Chartwells leads the education sector of Compass-USA Food Service Company and operates over 200 higher education dining facilities across the U.S.
Follett is the country’s largest higher education retailer, operating approximately 1,200 college bookstores nationwide. The company will provide a wide array of new services at DCC including textbook rental and price matching, options that are expected to result in significant cost savings for students.
