May 1, 2014 – There’s still time to register for the Dutchess Community College Foundation’s 25th Annual Golf Tournament and Dinner set for May 19 at the Dutchess Golf Club. The event is held annually in memory of Jack Orcutt, who was DCC’s first director of student activities and a founding member of the College staff. Funds raised will go toward student scholarships at DCC.
“Not only do the players get a great day of golf and camaraderie, but also the satisfaction of helping to fund scholarships for deserving students at DCC,” said tournament co-chair Richard Chazen.
The scramble-format tournament will feature a barbecue lunch, cocktail reception, awards dinner, prizes and a raffle drawing for tickets to New York Yankees games, tickets to Broadway shows, foursomes of golf, one year of free trash pickup by Royal Carting and more.
Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. with lunch at 11:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The cocktail reception is at 5 p.m., with dinner, awards and the raffle beginning at 6 p.m. Cost is $175 per person.
