April 30, 2012- The 41st Semi-Annual Communications & Media Arts Program Audio & Video Student Festival will be held May 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the James and Betty Hall Theatre at Dutchess Community College.
DCC is one of the few colleges that showcases work every semester. The best projects, selected by a faculty jury, will debut on the big screen. The show is free and open to the public.
The Communications and Media Arts program at DCC prepares students to transfer to four-year schools to study video production, sound design, film, broadcast journalism and other media arts. Students at DCC may specialize in video production, sound, visual effects or documentary. The program includes two years of study in the fundamentals of art, design, digital video and introduces students to professional standards of the media environment.
