November 14, 2012 – The Dutchess Community College Masquers’ Guild performance troupe will present the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS Musical Revue on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 2 at 2 p.m. in the James and Betty Hall Theatre on DCC’s main campus in Poughkeepsie.
The show, which is open to the public, will feature classic music from an assortment of Broadway shows past and present including “Spiderman,” “Rent,” “Pippin,” “Wicked,” “The Pajama Game,” “Sweet Charity,” “Beauty and the Beast” and more. Performers are students from DCC’s own Masquers’ Guild and Performing Arts department.
In addition, official memorabilia from various Broadway shows will be auctioned and raffled.
Admission is free, but a $5 donation is suggested. All proceeds will be donated to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the nation’s leading industry-based HIV/AIDS fundraising and grant-making organization.
