Broadway Revue to Help Fund Fight Against AIDS

November 28, 2011 – The Dutchess Community College Masquers’ Guild performance troupe will present the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS Musical Revue on Dec. 2 and 3 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. in the James and Betty Hall Theatre on DCC’s main campus in Poughkeepsie.

The show, which is open to the public, will feature classic music from an assortment of Broadway shows past and present including “Chicago,” “Rent,” “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Damn Yankees,” “The Music Man,” “Beauty and the Beast” and more. Performers will range from community actors to students from DCC’s own Masquers’ Guild and Performing Arts department productions.

Admission is free, but a $5 donation is suggested. All proceeds will be donated to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the nation’s leading industry-based HIV/AIDS fundraising and grant-making organization.
