November 30, 2010 – The Dutchess Community College Masquer’s Guild performance troupe will present the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS Musical Revue on Dec. 3 and 4 at 8 p.m. and Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. in the James and Betty Hall Theatre on DCC’s main campus in Poughkeepsie.
The show, which is open to the public, will feature classic music from an assortment of Broadway shows past and present including Romeo and Juliet, Les Miserables, Rock of Ages, Hair, Spring Awakening, Jekyll and Hyde and more. Performers will range from community theater players, to independent film cast members, to students from DCC’s own Masquer’s Guild and Performing Arts department productions.
Admission is free, but donations are welcomed. All proceeds will be donated to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the nation’s leading industry-based HIV/AIDS fundraising and grant-making organization. In addition to the performance, Broadway souvenirs and memorabilia will be raffled.
