September 6, 2011 – The Ninth Annual Black College Fair sponsored by Dutchess Community College will be held Thursday, Sept. 22 from 3-7 p.m. at Poughkeepsie High School.
Representatives from more than 20 historically black colleges will attend the fair along with counselors from the DCC offices of admissions, financial aid, and transfer.
Colleges expected at the fair include: Allen University, Bowie State, Cheyney University, Clafin College, Delaware State College, Florida A&M University, Grambling State University, Hampton University, Howard University, Jackson State University, Johnson C. Smith University, Langston University, Lincoln University (PA), Morgan State University, Morehouse College, Norfolk State University, North Carolina A&T State University, Prairie View A&M University, South Carolina State University, Spelman College, Tennessee State University, Tuskegee University, Virginia Union, Winston-Salem State University.
The fair was created to meet the needs of high school and second-year DCC students who are interested in attending historically black four-year colleges.
