Student Art on Display at SUNY Exhibition

June 24, 2014 – The artwork of two 2013-2014 Dutchess Community College art students was selected by the State University of New York to appear in the Best of SUNY Student Art Exhibition on display in Albany until Aug. 31.

The students are Melissa Laffin and Abigail Nohai; Laffin submitted an untitled digital print, while Nohai’s ceramic piece is called "Pomegranate Man."

Both pieces were on display at SUNY’s State University Plaza this spring and were selected by a panel of jurors for the Best of SUNY Student Art Exhibition at the New York State Museum this summer.

The SUNY student art shows began in 2002 to bring the work of talented SUNY student artists to a wider audience. Over the years, many students from DCC have had work selected for display in the best-of exhibit.
