February 14, 2012 – Dutchess Community College is proud to announce the addition of a second Associate in Science degree program in the field of Aviation Science -- Aviation Management -- for students wishing to work in the aviation industry. The College also offers a Pilot program.
Graduates of the new program will be prepared to work in airline and airport management, flight schools and various other administrative positions in the airline industry. The program also facilitates students’ transfer to four-year schools such as Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Dowling College, CUNY York College and many others.
“Aviation Management is an exciting program designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to take advantage of extensive job opportunities in the aviation industry,” said DCC Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs Carl Denti. “It complements our successful Pilot program, by giving students the ability to concentrate on the business and operational aspects of aviation.”
Courses in the program focus on topics including aviation security, safety, operations and airport management.
