November 2, 2010 – A one-week timeshare ownership of a villa on the Caribbean coast in Puerto Rico is just one of the items on the block at the Dutchess Community College Foundation’s annual Festifall benefit auction to be held Nov. 12 at the Poughkeepsie Tennis Club at 6 p.m.
The timeshare ownership is a villa in the Palmas del Mar resort community that includes golf courses, a tennis center, swimming pools, three miles of beach, and many more activities and amenities. The villa has three bedrooms and sleeps eight. It recently was renovated and features a full kitchen. The winning bidder can choose from one of three weeks: Week 51, which usually includes Christmas, Week 52, which usually includes New Year’s Day or Week 13, which falls at the end of March.
Other items up for auction include: a one-week trip to Orlando, Fla. and four park hopper passes to Disney World, a one-week trip to Rams Horn Village Resort in Colorado, an overnight stay at Mohonk Mountain House, a handmade outdoor garden bench, a cashmere cape and men’s v-neck sweater from Best of Scotland, a portrait sitting from Bradford Portraits valued at $5,000, an in-home dinner for six, four tickets to the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular, two foursomes for the Dutchess Golf and Country Club, a walking tour of New York City and much more.
Money raised will help support student scholarships at DCC. Last year, the Foundation granted more than $380,000 in student scholarships.
Admission to the auction is $75 per person, and includes a cocktail hour and dinner. The event sponsor is M&T Bank.
