DCC Invites Prospective Students to Open House April 17

Poughkeepsie, NY –  Dutchess Community College holds its annual Open House for prospective students and their families on Tuesday, April 17 starting at 6:00 p.m. in the James and Betty Hall Theatre in Dutchess Hall at the main campus in Poughkeepsie. High school students looking forward to graduation and nontraditional students returning to school are all welcome.

The evening begins in the Theatre with an introduction to the College by DCC President Dr. D. David Conklin. The program also includes a presentation by the DCC Office of Financial Aid. A Curriculum Fair follows in the Louis Greenspan North Cafeteria in Drumlin Hall to allow students and their families the opportunity to meet with representatives and collect information from all of DCC’s academic departments and programs. Student Services at DCC – including Student Activities and Career and Counseling Services, will also be represented. Refreshments will be served, and tours of the campus, lead by student ambassadors, will leave from the cafeteria throughout the evening.

Dutchess Community College, part of the State University of New York, is a public, two-year institution offering more than 60 degree and certificate programs for its credit students through 10 academic departments, including Allied Health and Biological Sciences; Behavioral Sciences; Business Technologies; Engineering, Architecture and Computer Technologies; English and Humanities; Health, Physical Education, Athletics, and Dance; History, Government, and Economics; Mathematics, Physical, and Computer Sciences; Nursing; and Performing, Visual Arts, and Communications.
