Poughkeepsie, N.Y. – Judy Eurich of Warwick, N.Y. has joined Dutchess Community College as director of community relations and graphics, the office responsible for all of DCC’s publications, web content, print and broadcast media advertising, press relations, and a variety of campus and community outreach activities. “I am so pleased to be working at Dutchess Community College,” said Eurich. “The mission of our community colleges is so important in that it affords everyone an opportunity to pursue her or his education. I have witnessed firsthand the success of students of all ages, and it is gratifying to know that I can continue to promote these opportunities to the Dutchess County community.” She noted that DCC will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year. “I am looking forward to letting everyone know about the wonderful events we have planned. The public can also look forward to a major redesign of the College’s website, one that will allow for easier navigation and ultimately provide a better source of information for students and parents alike.” Eurich comes to DCC from Sullivan County Community College where, as director of public relations, she was responsible for enhancing the college’s image through media relations, advertising, publications and the Internet. She also marketed special events, assisted with fundraising efforts, co-chaired the annual Women’s Conference, and coordinated activities for the SCCC Alumni Association. Eurich’s professional affiliations include the State University of New York Council on University Affairs and Development (SUNYCUAD) and the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR), which has recognized her with national and regional awards for her print and broadcast advertising campaigns and promotional brochures. As a 22-year veteran of the PR profession, Eurich has served in various marketing and public relations positions for several Hudson Valley corporations and organizations including the Times Herald-Record, Stewart International Airport, and The Culinary Institute of America. Eurich is an active member of her community who was honored as one of the 2006 Women of Achievement in Orange County. She is currently a member of the board of directors of the Orange County United Way and Leadership Orange. She is an alumna of the Leadership Orange and Leadership Sullivan programs. Eurich holds a bachelor of arts degree in communications from Fordham University and a master of arts degree in liberal studies from Empire State College.
