Focus on You: The DCC chapter of the American Association of Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) hosts this program to help women achieve balance. Oftentimes, women put a lot more energy into taking care of the needs of others than taking care of themselves. This social, lunch-time “time out” will help women become better aware of how to put more balance in their life and how the “Power of Intention” can be a powerful tool to help define their mission and make it work. Dr. Leah Akins, chair of the DCC’s Department of Engineering, Architecture, and Computer Technology, will facilitate a workshop on developing a personal mission statement that can inspire and guide women in their hopes, expectations and dreams. Admission is free. For information, contact Professor Sue Kennon at (845) 431-8474.

Friday, March 30, Noon, Taconic Hall Room 209

Women Coming to America: DCC students talk about their experiences moving to this country and explore their cultural differences. Admission is free. For general information on DCC Women’s History Month activities, contact Carla DelTreste at (845) 431-8556.
