Do you want to be more fit for summer?

Student trainers are available in the Fitness Center in Falcon Hall. Please visit the center to get started on a program. Students are available to work with you one-on-one! Fitness assessments are also available. If interested in fitness assessments, see Jesse in the Fitness Center Mondays 10-12, Tuesdays 12-2, or Wednesdays 11-12.

Friday Workouts Fall 2008 Schedule


The DCC Fitness Center is located in Falcon Hall.  We feel that we have a space that is aesthetically pleasing and that will fulfill the fitness needs of the diverse college environment at DCC.  the use of the facility is free of charge and open to all DCC students, faculty, and staff with a current college ID card as well as alumni of the College.  Students studying in the areas of fitness and wellness act as the supervisors and trainers in the center.  their purpose is to assist individuals with their exercise programs.

The Fitness Center has a full range of strength conditioning equipment in the circuit and free weight areas in addition to several pieces of aerobic exercise equipment. Fitness Center hours are posted throughout Falcon Hall, in the College Bulletin, on the DCC Message Channel, and on the College website. You can call 431-8465 for information and hours of operation.

In addition to the Fitness Center, there are lockers for your personal belongings and shower facilities for your use located in the locker rooms. The Fitness Center can be used to supplement your existing fitness program or simply to begin one. The center can serve as a stress reliever or a place to unwind and recharge your energy levels. Whatever your reason for exercising, the center was designed to provide a welcome break for the entire college community. Make fitness part of your college experience at DCC! If you are interested in being a trainer in the Fitness Center, you can enroll in PED 202 Fitness Practicum and earn credits while acting as a trainer. Please contact the Falcon Hall main office at (845) 431-8460 for more information regarding PED 202.  

Liabilities and injuries: by participating in Fitness Center activities, you assume the risk of personal injury. We recommend that you arrange sufficient health insurance coverage and have a physical examination prior to beginning any fitness routine.
