For each new course the curricula to which it is applicable
All four new courses are required for the proposed A.S. degree in
Exercise Science and Wellness. ESW
100, an Introductory Seminar, is applicable to the ESW program only.
ESW 101, Introduction to Exercise Science, is expected to be a
popular choice as an elective course applicable to other curriculas,
most notably Liberal Arts and Humanities and Liberal Arts and Science,
two of DCC's most popular academic programs.
Students enrolled in Allied Health programs such as Dietetic
Technology may also be interested in taking ESW 101 Introduction to
Exercise Science for elective credit.
ESW 201, Exercise Testing and ESW 202, Exercise Prescription are
applicable primarily to the ESW program, although it is possible that
ESW 201 and/or ESW 202 be taken for elective credit and applied to other
curriculas provided that the prerequisites are met.
